PANCAKE DAY!!!

 

On February 16^th , Pancake Day was celebrated in the UK. Pancake Day is also known as ‘Shrove Tuesday’.

On this day, they celebrate the beginning of Lent (a period of fasting). In order to use all the eggs, they make and eat pancakes. 

In class we learned about the history of Shrove Tuesday and how to make pancakes. 

We also talked about our favourite pancake toppings and the tradition of ‘Pancake Races’. 

After the serious work, we watched some funny videos of pancake making disasters and we had a good laugh.
